Holmen Culture Park
Catharine Hermine Kølle lived in Holmen in Ulvik in the early 1800s. With her walking journeys through Europe and Italy, she was Norway's first female hiking tourist. Through drawings and writing, she documented her travels, in addition to creating other artwork. Now you can see some of her pictures and learn more about this unique woman at the Isdal House in Holmen Cultural Park.
The Fruit and Cider Route
Cider from Hardanger is recognized as one of the best in the world. The moist but still relatively varm climate produces excellent drinks from apple growing here. The Cider Route takes you through three collaborating farms with lost of tasty samples to be enjoyed.
Linga Salmon Visiting Centre
In the fjord not far from Ulvik you can explore how salmon is farmed in Norway at the Linga Salmon visiting centre. Guided tours and tasting samples are available. A very interesting way to learn more about one of Norway´<s biggest export products.
